Position: Traffic Data & Survey Expert
Qualification:

Education: B.Sc in Transportation Engineering (or related field) from a recognized university.

Minimum Grades: GPA of 3.0 or 70% marks (or equivalent).
Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in conducting traffic surveys or transport-related surveys (e.g., traffic counts, origin-destination studies, speed studies, etc.).
Job Responsibilities:

Fieldwork & Data Collection:
-
Conduct on-site traffic assessments at junctions, roads, and other locations.

Organize and manage survey teams for data collection under the guidance of a Traffic Engineer/Senior Traffic Engineer.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
-
Analyze collected traffic data (e.g., volume, speed, congestion patterns).

Prepare detailed assessment reports for traffic studies.

Quality Control & Supervision:
-
Monitor and evaluate the performance of survey teams working under consultants/contractors.
-
Verify the accuracy of traffic data submitted by external parties and prepare evaluation reports.

Collaboration & Support:
-
Assist the Traffic Engineer/Senior Traffic Engineer with assigned tasks.

Provide technical input for transport/traffic projects.

Additional Duties:

Perform other tasks as directed by the Director.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of traffic survey methodologies (manual/automatic counts, video analysis, etc.).

Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret traffic data using tools like Excel, VISSIM, Synchro, or similar software.

Leadership: Experience managing field teams and coordinating logistics.

Communication: Clear reporting and documentation abilities.
Notes:

A Master’s degree in Transport Engineering may be preferred but is not mandatory.

Familiarity with local traffic regulations and survey standards is advantageous.
