Advertisement for Recruitment of Security Constables and Driver Constables, Special Protection Unit (SPU), Punjab
The Special Protection Unit (SPU), Punjab, is inviting applications from eligible candidates domiciled in all districts of Punjab for the recruitment of Security Constables and Driver Constables (Scale No. 7 with prevailing allowances). The recruitment process will follow the schedule and eligibility criteria outlined below.
Eligibility Criteria
For Driver Constable
- Age: 21–30 years
- Height:
- Male candidates: Minimum 5 feet 7 inches
- Female candidates: Minimum 5 feet 2 inches
- Chest (for male candidates only): Minimum 33 x 34.5 inches
- Domicile: Candidates must be domiciled in Punjab and hold a valid National Identity Card.
- Education: Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from a recognized board.
- Physical Test:
- Male candidates: 1.6 kilometers in 7 minutes
- Female candidates: 1.6 kilometers in 10 minutes
- Driving License & Experience:
- Valid LTV or HTV driving license with at least 2 years of driving experience after obtaining the license.
- Candidates must pass a driving test, mechanical test, and highway code test.
For Security Constable
- Age: 18–22 years
- Height:
- Male candidates: Minimum 5 feet 7 inches
- Female candidates: Minimum 5 feet 2 inches
- Chest (for male candidates only): Minimum 33 x 34.5 inches
- Domicile: Candidates must be domiciled in Punjab and hold a valid National Identity Card.
- Education: Secondary School Certificate (SSC) with at least 50% marks from a recognized board.
- Physical Test:
- Male candidates: 1.6 kilometers in 7 minutes
- Female candidates: 1.6 kilometers in 10 minutes
Quota Reservations
- Female Candidates: 15%
- Minority Candidates: 5%
- Ex-Servicemen: 10% (for Driver Constable only)
- Ex-servicemen must meet the following criteria:
- Current age should not exceed 40 years.
- If the military service period is deducted from the candidate’s current age, the remaining age should be 22 years or less.
- The candidate should not have been retired for more than 2 years.

Application Process
- Application Form: Download the prescribed form from the Punjab Police website: http://punjabpolice.gov.pk.
- Submission: Submit the completed application form along with attested photocopies of required documents and a non-refundable fee of Rs. 300 to the following offices of the Special Protection Unit, Punjab, from 26.03.2025 to 09.04.2025:
- Office of VIG, Special Protection Unit, Punjab, Lahore (Traffic Police Lines, Manawan, Lahore).
- Additional Director Security, Special Protection Unit, Battalion No. 1, Rawalpindi (House No. 125, Line No. 1, Chakara Hakim No. 1, Rawalpindi Cantt).
- Additional Director Security, Special Protection Unit, Battalion No. 3, Faisalabad (House No. 863, Amin Town, Near APTMA House, Canal Road, Faisalabad).
- Additional Director Security, Special Protection Unit, Battalion No. 4, Multan (Police Lines, Multan).
- SP Admin, Director Headquarters, Special Protection Unit, Farooqabad.
Important Instructions
- No Relaxation: No relaxation will be given in height, chest, education, age, or experience.
- Government Employees: Employees of government or semi-government institutions must submit their applications through their departments with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
- Affidavit Requirement: All candidates must submit an affidavit stating that no FIR or criminal case is registered against them. Submitting a false affidavit will result in disqualification and legal action.
- Document Verification: If any educational certificates, domicile certificates, National Identity Cards, or medical certificates are found to be fake, forged, or unverified, the candidate’s recruitment will be canceled, and legal action will be taken.
- Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination by the Medical Board. Color-blind candidates will be disqualified.
- Deployment: Recruited candidates will be bound to serve anywhere in Punjab and cannot apply for transfer to district police at any stage.
Recruitment Process
- Physical Test: Height, chest measurement, and running test.
- Driving Test: For Driver Constable candidates only.
- Written Test: To assess general knowledge and aptitude.
- Interview: Only eligible candidates will be called for an interview.
Key Notes
- No travel or accommodation expenses will be provided to candidates for any stage of the recruitment process.
- The department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
- Legal challenges to the recruitment process will not be entertained.
