Job Specification:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Common Criteria (CC) Network Security Evaluations:
- Oversee and conduct network security evaluations in compliance with Common Criteria standards.
- Identify and document compliance gaps in network devices.
- Technical Documentation & Analysis:
- Analyze network devices and their documentation to produce technical reports required for certification.
- Author evaluation documentation for submission to testing labs and certifying authorities.
- Network Traffic Simulation & Testing:
- Generate and simulate network traffic using hardware tools like IXIA, Spirent, Trex, QTP, and QC.
- Conduct functional testing of network devices and produce detailed testing reports.
- Lab Administration & Compliance:
- Manage the administration and technical activities of the Network Screening and Evaluation Lab.
- Track progress of screening and evaluation activities, ensuring thorough and precise reporting.
- Ensure compliance with procedures for creating, storing, accessing, and archiving evaluation records.
- Certification & Configuration:
- Configure network equipment to meet certification-specific deployment guidelines.
- Execute certification efforts in alignment with Pakistan CC Scheme and Common Criteria standards.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Maintain ongoing communication with the CC Lab Director regarding assessment status.
- Collaborate with product vendors and testing facility personnel to address compliance gaps, testing queries, and documentation feedback.
- Test Planning & Execution:
- Design test plans, test cases, and execute tests.
- Analyze test results, report bugs, and track resolutions.
- Confidentiality & Compliance:
- Ensure the highest standards of confidentiality for all screening and evaluation information.
- Report nonconforming work or supplies that hinder accurate security assessments.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Common Criteria Evaluation and FIPS 140-2 validation projects.
- Proficiency in network traffic simulation tools and network device configuration.
- Strong understanding of certification standards, test methods, and procedures
